Are you concerned about the direction our community is going? The government seems unable to turn our economy around. Layoffs are still being announced even after the government approved the economic stimulus funds to be disbursed. That is why the Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Project was created; to take action on our own and make a real difference in our community. The residents of Bakersfield need to make a conscience choice to take action.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change
the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

The Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Projects' mission statement is to help put people back to work by creating jobs through partnerships provided by community support.

Although currently the Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Project is set up as a for-profit company, the goal is to become a non-profit as soon as possible. Either way, no one person will profit from this project; all of Bakersfield profits and all money raised in Bakersfield stays in Bakersfield.

Options for helping our economy via the Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Project:
Become a Stakeholder (sponsor)
Become a Community Contributor (donate)
Purchase a Merchant Discount Card for yourself
Purchase Merchant Discount Cards for your family, staff or favorite customers

Sponsorships and Donations can be made on-line at www.bakersfieldesp.com

Through June 30, 2009 you may become an Ultimate Hero with a $10,000.00 sponsorship (saving $15,000.00) and take your place on the Board to help make decisions. YOU are needed as a Board Member. A strong Board is one of the keys to success.

All Stakeholder (sponsors) will receive 5 Merchant Discount Cards FREE when joining the Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Project by June 30, 2009 regardless of which sponsorship plan is chosen. This is a Founding Member special promotion.

Please call the Bakersfield Economic Stimulus Project’s office at (661) 331-9899 or email bakersfieldesp@sbcglobal.net today.
