What's the name of your company? What can you tell us about it?
I work for The Bakersfield Californian as part of the New Products department and I'm a member of our Small Business Development team that started this site.
What do you consider your professional expertise?
My background is marketing, but I'm a "Generalist." I enjoy problem solving whether it is number crunching or trying to craft the perfect marketing message. I have done everything on the job from walking through mud in flower fields to lobbying the US Congress.

During the work day, what are you doing?
Mostly, teasing my co-workers. My days are varied- which I like. I am either doing something creative- like layouts and graphics- or working on business planning projects. I also oversee the Inside Guide on Bakersfield.com and host monthly seminars.
In your free time, what are you doing?
I'm a homebody and love spending time with my husband and cats. I am always shopping around for new hobbies and love doing crafty things. I typically go to my hometown of Santa Barbara at least 1 weekend per month to visit my family and once a year to Switzerland to visit my in-laws.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would pay off my mortgage, travel a bit and keep working.
